The use of new and innovative pedagogical methods can provide teachers with tools to deal with contemporary challenges in adult education. Through gamification and embodied learning, we want to provide a few new methods and insights to the instructor who is currently active in adult education in general, and more specifically in second-chance education. Through gamification, we want to respond to the motivation of learners and introduce embodied learning in order to respond to both the motivation and the (negative) self-image of learners. With this project we want to build in a number of guarantees to further strengthen adult education and to support it in meeting the new challenges and thus make adult education future proof.
